Our firm’s litigation department is highly regarded and has built a significant reputation in resolving all types of banking, commercial property, contractual, employment, professional and malpractice negligence, medical negligence and discrimination disputes. Our litigation team has a wealth of experience and recognises that resolving disputes is pivotal.

We offer a wide range of litigation services to our Private and Corporate clients. Part of our litigation department specialises in Defence Litigation and we are one of a small number of law firms representing several of the largest insurance companies in Ireland. We also arrange and present specialist legal seminars to insurance companies to update and advise them of recent developments in the field of insurance law.

In addition our litigation department advises in bankruptcy/insolvency litigation and resolution of complex creditor-debtor disputes, as well as allegations of white collar crime. Our litigation team recognises that resolving disputes is critical to successful corporate risk management.

With ever increasing globalisation and the fact that disputes don’t recognise borders we are dealing with a growing number of cases which have cross border elements. Consequently significant importance in our global litigation offering through our strategic alliance with Mackrell International will provide the necessary high level of expertise when dealing with domestic or foreign jurisdictional disputes.

We also recognise the growing importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in providing a more efficient resolution procedure to our client’s disputes. We have experience in arbitration, conciliation and mediation and we always explore the various ADR options with our clients, depending on the client’s needs, as opposed to taking litigious actions through the courts. Two of our Senior Partners are experienced mediators and our practice offers mediation services to third party disputes.
