Colm Fahy - Solicitor/Family Law Mediator

Colm comes from a background in general legal practice where he gained a wide range
of experience and in-depth knowledge in family law, civil, commercial and debt recovery litigation as well as in commercial property and conveyancing, banking, media law and corporate law and governance. Colm has a special interest in family law matters and his wide range of expertise is especially beneficial in family law disputes involving complex asset and finance arrangements.

Colm is a graduate of UCD (BA 1989), NUI Galway (LLB 1996) and Institute of
Comparative Law at McGill University in Montréal (LLM Dean’s Honours List 1999).
Enrolled as a solicitor in 2004, Colm worked with two leading Dublin practices before joining Crowley Millar in 2007. Since joining Crowley Millar, Colm has completed a Diploma in Corporate law and Governance and has also commenced practice in Family Law Mediation having trained with Resolution (formerly the UKs Solicitors Family Law Association (SFLA)

In addition to his private client portfolio, Colm continues to represent and advise leading charitable organisations, corporate clients, insurance businesses and clients in the media and entertainment industry.

As well as being French speaker, Colm remains active outside the office in community and volunteering. He is Chairman of the board of Volunteer Centres Ireland (VCI), co-founder of the Irish Society of International Law and an active campaigner with numerous human rights causes, as well as being a mentor for student legal debating teams. He is an active election observer serving with both with the EU and the OSCE in difficult fields of operation including Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia.

Colm is a pragmatic problem solver whose quick-thinking and practical approach is born out of his broad experience and interests.
